Shields

Each Shield we make is crafted:

• from 1/4" laminated birch

• with sanding between each coat of paint

• with all edges sanded smooth

• with lead-free and non-toxic materials

Need a wooden shield to go with your wooden sword - we've got 'em! We offer our wooden shields in 3 shapes:

• The Bulwark Shield - 18 inches wide and 24 inches tall

• The Badge of Courage Shield - 18 inches wide and 24 inches tall

• The Redoubtable Shield - 18 inches wide and 24 inches tall

• The Roman Round Shield - 18 or 16 inches in diameter - you decide which side best meets your needs.

We offer ALL wooden shields in 4 finishes, Premium, Deluxe, Standard, and Raw. If you want to paint your own, then we offer all shields in their Raw, unfinished state.  Each shield includes sturdy straps to secure the shield to your arm.

Personalize your shield by engraving your on the handle !

Using  a high-speed dremel-tool, we can engrave your initials (3 letters maximum) in the handle of your shield, for a minimal additional cost.

Add an extra dimension and a touch of class to your shield with embossing! We add a second layer of wood around the perimeter of the shield adding stiffness and added touch of class.

We can emboss any of our shield designs in any finish - RAW, Standard, Deluxe, or Premium!

Stencils

Looking for a little more color for your shield, checkout our selection of stencils we can add to your shield. The examples below show our Badge of Courage but we can add a stencil to ANY of our shields for you.

Premium: titanium-like finish with gold-like finish around the perimeter of the shield face and 3 coats of paint.

The handle

No two arms are the same size, so we use velcro to make the handles for our shields.

The velcro is comfortable and is infinitely adjustable to fit any arm.

• It takes us 1 business day to process your order, then

• We make each shield when you order it - so it takes about 1 week to make your shield (or shields if you ordered more than one), then

• for US orders, 2 to 3 days shipping by US Postal Service Priority Mail, or

• For APO (US overseas), we also ship US Postal Service Priority Mail but we have no influence on how long it will take to get to you.

By the way:  in an effort to keep the shipping and handling costs as low as possible, we ship our products in used cardboard. No point paying for a new box and we don't send it to a landfill!
